Gasteinertal

The Gasteinertal ski area lies 100 km south of Salzburg on the edge of the Ski Amadé region. The most famous resorts are Bad Gastein, Bad Hofgastein and Dorfgastein. Gasteinertal is one of the most popular resorts for nature and sports lovers, thanks to the Hohe Tauern National Park. At the beginning of the valley, you can find the ski area Dorfgastein followed by the connected Bad Gastein / Bad Hofgastein. At the end of the valley, lie Graukogel and Sportgastein - the highest resort in the area. The whole area inspires not only individuals but also families with children.

Several thermal springs, which have been used since the times of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, makes the Gasteinertal unique experience. One of the most popular is the 32,000 m2 Alpen Therme thermal bath in Bad Hofgastein, which offers countless opportunities for relaxation for all ages.

Fans of winter sports will be fully satisfied by the local offer of downhill and cross-country trails. There is also more than 1,000 km of hiking and biking trails in the area. Leisure time can be filled in other ways - horseback riding, fishing, golf, paragliding and other sports and non-sports activities.
