The Gasteinertal ski area lies 100 km south of Salzburg on the edge of the Ski Amadé region. The most famous resorts are Bad Gastein, Bad Hofgastein and Dorfgastein. Gasteinertal is one of the most popular resorts for nature and sports lovers, thanks to the Hohe Tauern National Park.
